Digest and Slack
A summary of what the brands you follow shipped, by email, in Slack or both.
The activity digest is a short summary of what the brands you follow put out: who was busiest against the window before, the campaign moments they built around, the offers they ran and the new ads that went live. It links back to Pulse for the detail.
Owners and admins set it up in Settings → Notifications.
Choose when it arrives
- Cadence: Daily compares the last 24 hours with the 24 before. Weekly compares the last 7 days with the 7 before.
- Day: for a weekly digest, the day it arrives.
- Time and time zone: the hour it arrives, in your time zone.
Unless you change it, the digest arrives on Monday at 8am, Sydney time. If nothing was captured in the window, nothing is sent.
Send it by email
Switch on the email digest and every member of the organisation receives it.
Send it to Slack
Create a Slack webhook
In Slack, create an incoming webhook
for the channel the digest should post to. Slack gives you a URL that starts
with https://hooks.slack.com/.
Paste it into Trendmill
In Settings → Notifications, paste the URL into Slack webhook and save. Use Send test to post a test message to the channel.
Switch the digest on
Turn on the Slack digest and choose a cadence.
Trendmill never shows the webhook URL again after you save it. To change channels, paste a new URL. To stop posting, press Disconnect. Disconnecting Slack leaves the email digest as it was.
If you don't follow any brands yet, the digest would be empty, and the settings page says so. Follow some brands first.
